When constructing our media video we used many elements of new media technologies to make our video successful and take aspects from real music videos that are viewed with high significance. Each group was given a semi-professional camera, xm2

, which was helpful by it made us being able to use the same equipment a real music video producer would use if they were making a music video. The edit suit also provided us with a high level of technology and professionalism so we could work to the best of our ability. Wide screen TV’s were present in the editing suite,

making it more clear and visible for each group to see their video and problems with it needing improvements. On the computers in the editing suite, Photoshop was installed which was extremely useful in editing the music video how we wanted it to be like. For example we used the editing on Photoshop to successfully produce our poster and digipak part of the task, which also included a 3 page CD cover.

We had to plan our music video and CD digipak, so we were given the task to create a blogger account. Blogger enabled us to write down every planning aspect including; spider diagram ideas for the video, lyric analysis, analysis’ of other music videos etc.Several other online websites including Myspace, You tube and Facebook were helpful in one, finding the band that we wanted to use and two, researching them to coincide with the making of the digipak and general information needed.

Myspace was helpful in choosing a specific song for the band we had chosen, You tube for audience feedback on the band a performances and Facebook was useful for information on the band, contacting them and pictures of them members.
